A tribute to the young people of color who have been victims of gun violence in New York, Rio de Janeiro, and Johannesburg, who will never reach the age of 21. Three dancers, torsos inscribed with testimonials from the victims’ families, recount the stories through intense movement. Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement’s #Never21 hashtag.

Smaïl Kanouté - French-Malian multifaceted artist based in Paris. “Choreo-graphist” –as he calls himself– he is both a graphic and silkscreen designer, a visual artist and a professional dancer. His numerous collaborations in fashion, design, video and performing arts reflect his prolific creativity. With Compagnie Vivons –founded in 2016 he develops performance projects, more personal choreographic artworks, dance videos, and short films.
