Jazz great Archie Shepp will speak with music students from Holyoke High School & Springfield Conservatory of the Arts. Shepp will talk about his unique history as a composer and performer. Enchanted Circle Theater & Stephen Burrell created a study program and workshop to familiarize students with Shepp’s work and the history behind it, in advance of the conversation.
Workshop 1: September 11, 2015, 12-1PM, Springfield Conservatory of the Arts, Gymnasium.
Workshop 2: September 15, 2015, 12-1PM, Holyoke High School, Band Room.
“Conversation with a Living Legend” is part of a three-day celebration of the music of jazz composer and performer Archie Shepp.
