Do you ever wonder what really makes a theater tick? Is it good acting? Good writing? Maybe good management? Wrong! It’s gossip! While all the actors and crew stand around between scenes, they are left to their own devices. Mistake. Is Gracie, the director, suffering from some incurable disease? After all, she is found unconscious on the stage floor. Never mind that she was knocked in the head by a door. And just who is this backer that Darla, the newcomer, knows who’s coming to opening night? Are they all going to Broadway? No, they’re all going to pieces. Especially when a plainclothes policeman shows up looking for a murderer who just might be a member of the cast.
