The Holyoke Latin Jazz Festival will present inexpensive live Latin jazz music as part of PassportHolyoke's Next Stop Holyoke. The festival will take place at the Holyoke War Memorial in Holyoke, MA, and will showcase local and regional musicians along with world-class performers from the region performing a fiery mix of Latin jazz and traditional salsa including traditional beats from Cuba and Puerto Rico and other styles such as Mambo.

Sabor A Timba keeps the concept of live improvisation of Latin and afro caribbean jazz music alive.

WILO and De Lomas y Sones Band 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM


De Lomas y Sones is the new Cuban dance band led by singer/percussionist William Armando Rodriguez. The band’s name translates as “Of Hills and Songs,” and pays tribute to its Vermont home. The band’s specialty is Afro-Cuban son, the dance style that is the root of salsa, cha-cha-cha, and mambo. With congas, bongó, bass, piano, flute, saxophone and vocals, De Lomas y Sones delivers an evening of deeply grooving Cuban sounds.

Dino Y Su Alegre Swing Band 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM


Alegre swing is a local New England band made up of 9 talented musicians that came together to bring you the best in old-school salsa and son montuno. Alegre is “to be happy” and swing is “to gel together as one to ride the musical roller coaster, feeling the same rhythmic orgasm as the rest of the band.”
